What’s Up With Gamer 2.0?
July 5th, 2009 | Written by Anthony Perez | Topic: Gamer 2.0So as many of you have may have noticed, there’s been a lot of odd things happening here since about E3 time.
To make it short and sweet, Gamer 2.0 used to be owned by a parent corporation known as WiredLabs. In January 2007, our relationship with WiredLabs ended, but due to a lack of funds we remained on their servers as an agreement to our seperation. Unfortunately, the server on which Gamer 2.0 was running was shut down at the end of May. That is why Gamer 2.0 was not working.
Recently, we also transferred possession of the domain name, which caused it to disassociate from the new server we were running on and caused the site to go down completely for a few days. Many of you were surely suprised to see Gamer 2.0 return, but it’s not complete. We’re in the middle of doing construction on the site, so for now, please enjoy our blog here at Smashpad.

Yeah dude. I was totally yelling at our higher ups about the site, because we kept telling you guys that big changes were in store, and I totally understand from your end that it looks like we've been doing nothing.
This server change was a setback, but I'm glad you guys are still with us.
Believe us, we care about our only two fans.

Although not what you would call a regular visitor, I've continually enjoyed the content you guys offered from way back when you were amped gamng up through gamer20. I look forward to seeing things develop further as you get back on track. Good luck!

We're working hard on ramping up our posting and also working in some EXCITING new features for our users. Right now, we're a little technologically limited in terms of the features we can build through coding and design, but we hope to make up for that with content focused on what our readers want and their input.
There will be an important announcement about our review system in a week or so.
