so what about if u only have a shirt amount of RAM?? x cus i don't have that uch RAM but i can't afford roe RAM and at tes the sims 3 ruins quite fastly but then it slows straight down x

RAM is what makes your computer run applications. The more memory you have, the more applications it should be able to run at the same time. And if you're only running one application, all that memory will be focusing on that one application–like The Sims 3, for instance.

Gigs… well. That has multiple meanings. The amount of memory your RAM has is told in terms of gigs. The amount of space your computer can hold is in terms of gigs.

And processors are what changes every year. Most PC's now run a Pentium IV processor. I don't even know what kind of processor my MacBook runs, so it's not THAT important.

My problem is that I don't even understand what the hell RAM and gigs and processors are. I've gotta find someone to check out my computer and tell me what I need to do, or buy, to make Sims 3 run better.

yea same with my compter i have a IBM THINK PAD the graphics were by ati witch also created roller caster tycoon it was designed for windows xp so it cant be that old right?

Seriously. If The Sims 3 is running slow on your computer, it must be really old.

You want at least an Intel Core Duo 2 processor and at least 4 gigs of RAM for optimal performance.

hi ,,
i already have the sims 3 and i'm very happy for that ,, but when i was playing it's very very slow and i can't play anymore i'm tired for that ,,, even my computer have a big free space!!
so how can i solve this problem??
